A Remote Presence system developed by Telepresence Research and Fake Space Labs based on earlier work at NASA Ames Research Center. The system includes a head-coupled stereoscopic camera unit and computer-controlled platform that moves in correspondence with the BOOM viewer motion. The camera system is mounted on a mobile robot platform that enables overall positional changes with joystick or speech commands.
